Traditional dresses of various countries

China

A cheongsam (or Qipao) has a high neck, with the collar closed, and its sleeves may be either short, medium, or full arm length. The dress is buttoned on the right side, with a slimmer waist, and slits up from the side. They are normally made of silk or and can come in many colours and designs.

India

A sari is a strip of loose cloth, ranging from 4 to 9 metres in length. It is draped over the body in many, unique styles. A sari is usually wrapped around the waist, and tossed over the shoulder.

Japan

A kimono is a long robe with wide sleeves traditionally worn with a large sash. It can be worn by both men and women. It is made of silk and comes in a variety of unique designs.

Rome(Italy)

A toga is a distinguishing garment,that is usually white, worn in Ancient Rome, and can be 6 metres in length. It is wrapped around the body, and is usually worn over a shirt. It is often made of wool.

Scotland

A kilt is a knee-length garment with pleats, that can be worn by men and women. It is made of twill woven worsted wool, and is sold in various colours.

Norway

A bunad is an authentic garment worn by both men and women. It is usually made out of wool, with linen shirts and decorative jewellery. The bunad can be blue, black, red, green, or white in colour.
